Abstract :
Looks at the history of the Winston Churchill Memorial and Library in Fulton, Missouri, on the campus of Westminster College. Its main feature is a reconstructed London church built by Christopher Wren, S. Mary Aldermanbury, which was largely destroyed by fire bombs in 1940, that now serves as the college chapel. The monument, which commemorates Churchill and his 1946 address 'Sinews of Peace', was established in 1966. (The original medieval church had been lost in the Great Fire of 1666, and was rebuilt by Wren). ;
