- Abstract :
- Studies Klee's Anima errante, or, irrende Seele, a stylus drawing on paper prepared with a red wax/paint ground (1934). The work appears to draw on the forms and perceived symbolism of the megalithic sites at Morbihan to express Klee's own philosophy of the cycles of life and death, and the role of the earth as place both of interment and of new growth, of decay and fecundity. ;
