Study of emblems not published in Wither's Collection of emblems, 1635, or the little-known posthumous Divine poems (by way of a paraphrase) on the Ten Commandments. These include: emblematic title-pages with poems from several books (A preparation to the Psalter, 1619; Wither's motto, 1621; and Britain's remembrancer, 1628); an impresa of 1642 for use on his flag in the Civil War; and an emblem of two pots that he used in commentaries on Anglo-Dutch relations published 1664 and 1666; as well as emblematic self-portraits dated 1611-1669. Includes an appendix attributing to him an anonymous engraving of the female figure of Europa, from a set of four allegorical personifications of the Continents published ca.1635. ;
