- Relates the 15th-early 16th c. marks in the staircase turrets of the S. Lievensmonstertoren at Zierikzee to marks found elsewhere. Some of them were not incised but applied with red or black chalk. Argues that the actual building of the tower may have started as early as ca.1470. ;
