- Presents eight papers (authors: Francesco Gurrieri, Livio Ricciardi, Giovanni Carbonara, Elvira Garbero Zorzi, Luigi Zangheri, Gaetano Miarelli Mariani, Giuseppe Cristinelli, Mauro Civita) and the transcription of a round-table discussion from a one-day conference (Florence, Accademia delle arti di disegno, 25 Mar 1996) on the theme of the reconstruction of the Teatro La Fenice (destroyed by fire, Jan 1996) in Venice. The theater was built (1790-1792) by Giovanni Antonio Selva. In 1836 it was almost completely destroyed by a fire, and was reconstructed according to Selva's design. ;
