- Abstract :
- The plan for a long-vanished Elizabethan palace, built for Lord Burghley in London, has recently been discovered at Burghley House in Lincolnshire. It contains the most complete representation of any of the great 16th-c. Strand palaces and gardens. The garden section may well be the earliest extant plan of an identifiable English garden. ;
