- Investigates the founding, development and success of the silverware factory established 1856 in Copenhagen by goldsmith Vilhelm Christesen from the provincial town of Slagelse. Christesen was the first to attempt an industrialized production of silver artefacts in Denmark. Deals with the organization of the firm, modernizations through the years, with Christesen's attitude to his workers, and contemporary views on handicraft and industrialized products. ;
