Abstract :
Philosophical analysis of the museum as space. Museum space frames a protective universe around artworks. In building museums all spirit-elevating means are used. An art exhibition differs from other museums with the strongest image of a hermetic temple because of disciplined unspatiality and controlled communication. In a museum as in a temple an individual experience is united in ritual with community and at the same time it is directed by it and draws its form from it. Not only bright lights and white walls make a museum a spiritual construction: also an artists' genius formed by the community is needed. Emphasizing an individual and individual process of creating and its binding to the story of art are the elements that differentiates an art museum from other places. ;
