- Focuses on a previously unnoticed Roman marble beam with a sculpted vegetal motif used as an architrave in the portico of the church of S. Bartolomeo all'Isola, Rome. Advances several hypotheses on the placement and function of this spolia element in the medieval church. (The beam was probably from the Roman temple of Asclepius over which the church was built). ;
