- Abstract :
- Despite the scandalous reputation of William Beckford, his magnificently furnished home of Fonthill Abbey was very influential and much copied in the 19th c. Some of the many homes which have architecture and/or furnishings similar to Fonthill Abbey are Kingston Lacy, Waddesdon Manor, and the house at Highcliffe. ;
