- Reports on the activities of the Altstadtfreunde Nürnberg in the year 2001, focusing on its many renovation and construction projects. Discusses the work on the gables and stairways of a barn (1424) called the Malzscheune (located at Zirkelschmiedgasse 30), the reinstallation of a peaked oriel window (1896) from the demolished restaurant Seerose am Dutzendteich, and the construction of a new building at the Königstor gate to the Altstadt. Also expresses concern over modern ventilation on the rooftops in the historic district. ;
