- Surveys the scholarship that has traditionally attributed much of the stone sculpture in late 14th-c. Prague to Peter Parler. Reexamines several sculptures to demonstrate that a large number of skilled sculptors in addition to Parler were working in Prague. Argues that noting the presence of many superior artisans allows for a deeper understanding of the aspirations of the city as imperial center. ;
