- Reviews the exhibition Giorgione : Mythos und Enigma (Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna, through 11 July 2004; Accademia, Venice, 1 Nov 2003-22 Feb 2004), focusing on the scientific analysis of Giorgione's 15th- and 16th-c. paintings and painted altarpieces. Using x-rays and infra-red reflectograms, experts have been able to verify Giorgione's hand in several works of previously questionable attribution. ;
