- Provides an introduction to essays dealing with museum practices. Discusses the concept of 'voice' in exhibitions, arguing that a number of voices (the curator's, the artist's, and the audience's) combine to form exhibitions and that the goal is to achieve a high degree of authenticity in these voices. Using African and Native American art as examples, explores how museum exhibitions of native or indigenous art can speak to non-native audiences. ;
