- Observes that since the number of stratigraphic excavations of early medieval sites in the Liguria region is limited, a precise idea of pottery production during this period cannot be obtained, although it may be said that the locally produced ware was formally and technically 'basic'. Describes eleven types of 8th-10th-c. ceramic objects (i.e., jars, mugs, basins, lids, lamps, etc.) excavated in this region. ;
