- Profiles the career in Utrecht of the painter Hendrick Bloemaert, and focuses on his portraits. Presents and analyzes a previously unpublished Portrait of a Prelate (private collection) signed and dated (1647) by Bloemaert, comparing it with an analogous Portrait of a Man (1643; Sankt-Peterburg, Gosudarstvennyj yrmitaz) by the artist. Also compares it with an engraved portrait (by Theodor Matham; 1671) of the priest Johannes Putkammer with an inscription reporting that the engraving is based on a portrait by Bloemaert. Suggests that the mentioned portrait is the painting presented here. ;
