- Describes the 11th-18th-c. history of the Benedictine monastery of S. Pietro del Lago, near Villalago (Abruzzo region), founded 1010-1017 by S. Domenico di Cocullo. (The monastery is now in ruins.) Hypothetically reconstructs its design on the basis of documents and other examples of 11th-c. Benedictine religious architecture. Also discusses the sculpted architectural decoration, fragments of which survive as spolia reused (1730s) in the parochial church, Villalago. ;
