- The term 'maniera Cypria' refers to the stylistic appearance of 13th-c. icons produced in Cyprus. Submits that it derives from a narrowly defined, traditional art historical treatment of the art of the island and argues for a methodology that takes into account the multicultural artistic milieu in which the icons were produced. ;
