- Abstract :
- Deals with the warriors' equipment found close to the cult house in Uppþkra. Such equipment has been found all over the site but there is a striking concentration close to the house. Much of the equipment has been destroyed and deposited in a manner not unlike what has been documented in the famous bog finds. The finds from Uppþkra were uniquely deposited on dry ground. They should be understood as offerings, and might be further interpreted as expressions of warfare, an institutionalized religion, and a warriors' cult. ;
