- Surveys cardinal Giulio Alberoni's activity as a collector and patron and relations with living artists in Rome, and observes that 160 paintings by important 15th-18th-c. European masters (e.g., Antonello da Messina and Jan Provost) are listed in his estate inventories (1735, 1744-1753). Observes that after his death, a part of the collection was sold, and the remainder (including three series of 16th-17th-c. Flemish tapestries) was transferred to the Collegio Alberoni, Piacenza. Describes the late 20th-c. restoration of the parts of the collection and plans for its display in the Collegio and other (external) exhibition spaces. ;
