Title :

Jesu li prilozi u grobovima ranog srednjeg vijeka u Dalmaciji posljedica poganskog obreda sahranjivanja?

Abstract :
Recent archaeological discoveries in Dalmatia support the conclusion that funeral gifts in graves dating from the early Middle Ages are a clear indication of pagan funeral rites. Since it is also clear that the deceased were, in fact, Christianized, archaeological findings do not offer solid grounds for determining beyond a doubt the point at which newly arrived settlers in Dalmatia were Christianized. In fact, it appears that funerary practices did not substantially change in the region until as late as the second half of the 9th c. and into the 10th c. ;
