- Compares the contemporaneous cycles based on Dante's Divine Comedy created by Salvador Dal~ (1960) and Robert Rauschenberg (1964). Discusses the relation of each artist's prints to Sandro Botticelli's illustrations of Dante's work (ca.1480), and highlights the differences in Rauschenberg's and Dal~'s illustrative techniques and in their selection of motifs to illustrate. ;
