- Pair of Louis XIV revival tables made 1823 in Paris by Jean-François Denière for Alexander Hamilton Douglas, Duke of Hamilton and Brandon (Toronto, Art Gallery of Ontario). Denière's gilt bronze and marble bases receive porphyry tops which are probably Roman 1st-5th cs. The tables were made for Hamilton Palace, the duke's country seat in Lanarkshire. ;
