Abstract :
Reports on the excavation of three burial caves in the outskirts of Jerusalem near the Aceldama monastery. The tombs, discovered in 1989 date from the 1st through 6th cs. Used intensively during the 1st c., they were reused in the late Roman and early Byzantine periods. As they were unlooted, many finds were recovered including pottery, glass, and ceramics. ;
